Mommy Makeover refers to a combination of cosmetic procedures. Women opt for this operation to improve their post-pregnancy physique. Pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding can drastically change a woman’s body. This surgery involves several restoration procedures in just one process.

Each patient will have a customized plan of procedures. This plan can include tummy tuck, diastasis recti repair, breast augmentation and breast lift.

Liposuction, tightening of the vaginal entrance and floor and a Brazilian butt lift can also be included.

Patients can choose from many surgeries, but the most popular ones involve the breasts and abdomen. Abdominal surgeries can remove excess skin and fat. This option helps with excesses that cannot be solved through exercise.

Breast augmentation can add fullness to deflated breasts and a lift can improve
sagging skin.

Usually, surgeons perform these procedures in one session. However, some patients may elect for staged procedures. Women opting for this surgery must be fully recovered after giving birth. They should also have stopped breastfeeding if they plan on undergoing a breast procedure. Doctors recommend that patients have the surgery after they have finished having children.

The outpatient surgery will take about 1-2 weeks to recover. Patients will experience swelling for the next six months or more. They need to refrain from excessive lifting for six weeks.

Non-invasive treatments are also available for rejuvenation and restoration. These non-surgical procedures do not have the same dramatic results. They are ideal for women who plan to have more children in the future or those who cannot go through the long recovery period. These clinical treatments including cryolipolysis or other energy devices can remove stubborn fat pockets, tighten lax skin and reduce cellulite. Injectables, such as Botox and fillers, can also add volume to areas lacking elasticity and fullness.
