Nutational Infrasonic Liposuction (NIL) is also known as “Tickle Lipo”. This FDA-approved procedure can shape and contour the body by removing excess fat. NIL is less painful and invasive than traditional liposuction.

The procedure starts the same way as standard liposuction. Surgeons make tiny incisions and insert a cannula into the targeted area. The difference is that NIL uses a 10Hz vibration and rotation while extracting fat. The infrasound rotation uses air rather than heat to break up the fat. This sensation effectively tricks the nerves' pain signals, making the process less painful. The cannula used is a narrower tube compared to classic liposuction. This also helps minimize discomfort during the surgery. Many patients describe the sensation as ticklish, hence it being referred to as “Tickle Lipo”.

NIL is less invasive compared to conventional liposuction methods. Its acoustic waves target the fat cells and dissolve them without damaging or absorbing other tissues and blood vessels. The motion of the cannula encourages collagen production, which helps tighten and firm up the skin over time.

The surgery is done under local anesthetic. Patients will be conscious throughout the surgery but remain comfortable. This procedure promotes quicker recovery and leaves a smaller scar.

The procedure can be performed on areas that build up excess fat, such as the inner and outer thigh, back, abdomen, love handles, hips, and buttocks.

Patients can go home right after the surgery. They can return to their everyday activities after a couple of days. Results are noticeable almost immediately.
