Laser Skin Tightening Treatments

Lasers are popular anti-aging and skin rejuvenation treatments that improve skin laxity and elasticity. Various lasers are available, but they all heat the dermal layer of skin to increase collagen production and tighten the skin. Some are more invasive than others and may require a longer recovery time.

Affirm laser is a non-ablative fractionated laser that heats the skin's dermis without damaging the skin's surface. The laser uses non-ablative beams that target the dermis in thousands of tiny pieces. These tiny wounds boost collagen production to improve the tone and texture of the skin. The results are fewer wrinkles and tightened skin. Fractionated lasers quicken the healing and recovery time. Affirm is suitable for any skin tone and type. Practitioners will apply a topical numbing cream before the 15-40 minute procedure. Effects become more noticeable over time. Patients need 3-6 sessions initially, then periodic maintenance treatments for long-lasting results.

Titan Laser helps firm up the skin on the face, neck, stomach, and upper arms by using infrared light to heat the dermis, which triggers collagen production and contraction of the collagen. This results in fewer wrinkles and tighter skin. The only downside is that this treatment gives modest results. Since collagen takes 90-180 days to form, results will only be noticeable after a few months and can last for 1-2 years.

Neo Laser is another skin tightening laser treatment. It can also target skin conditions like rosacea, psoriasis, and ingrown hairs. The device keeps the skin's surface cool to prevent discomfort and the risk of thermal burns. It is suitable for all skin types and tones due to its gentle technique. It may not yield as dramatic results as other more powerful laser treatments, and multiple sessions are needed for noticeable results. Doctors recommend six-monthly sessions.

MiXto Laser and Smart Xide are fractional CO2 lasers that vaporize the tiny pieces of the skin's epidermal layer for effective results. They are suitable for all skin tones and can improve issues like wrinkles, lax skin, scars, and brown spots without any complications. Either topical numbing cream or local anesthetic is used. A full-face treatment can take 1-2 hours. Common side effects of this treatment include redness and swelling. Patients will notice optimal results within the next few months.

PrecisionTx is a laser tightening treatment that focuses on the lower face area, jawline, neck, and arms. This minimally invasive procedure can melt fat while heating the dermis to tighten connective tissue and firm the skin. A local anesthetic will be administered for the 60-90 minute procedure. For facial treatment, doctors make incisions behind the ears and under the chin. They insert a cannula into the incision to move the laser in the dermis layer to target the tissue. Stitches are not needed. Patients may experience swelling and tenderness for the first week.
