Radiofrequency energy and pulsed electromagnetic fields are used in aesthetic treatments to remove fat and tighten and firm the skin. Various systems and devices in the market can rejuvenate the skin. One such treatment is Evolve.

Evolve uses three different appliances that target different issues on the body. The Evolve Tite device uses radiofrequency to create heat and release it into the skin. When the under
layers of skin heats up, the body produces collagen to firm and tighten sagging skin. Evolve Trim smooths out the appearance of cellulite dimples. Evolve Tone uses electromagnetic fields to flex the muscles in various body areas to contour them. Treatments can last from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the area size. No anesthetic or downtime is needed afterward. Patients may have slight redness on their skin after the session, which will subside in a few hours. The treatment is not for patients with a pacemaker or metal implant in their bodies.

Venus Legacy is another non-surgical treatment that improves elasticity and wrinkles on the skin and lessens the appearance of cellulite. This system uses four devices combining RF and electromagnetic energy to enhance collagen production. It uses a suction device that can penetrate the deeper layers to target fat tissues to smooth cellulite and fade stretch marks. The treatment is suitable for all skin tones and types. Eligible candidates have moderate laxity with small stubborn pockets of fat. A session can take 20 minutes to an hour with no downtime needed. Patients need 6-10 weekly sessions for visible results, which will become more noticeable 3-4 months later as more collagen is produced.

Despite its name, Venus Freeze uses heat to encourage the healing and regeneration of cells. It promotes collagen production to improve skin elasticity and smooth out wrinkles on the face, neck, and body. Venus Freeze can also shrink fat cells and lessen the appearance of cellulite. Results usually improve over time as the body increases collagen production. This painless treatment that feels like a hot stone massage requires no downtime. The device rolls over the areas as the heat levels slowly increase. The session takes about 30 minutes, and the skin may look a little pink. Doctors recommend 6-8 sessions for the face and up to 10 treatments for the body for optimal results.
